RE Mod 64-2

Think I just posted on the wrong thread. I just acquired a Mod 64-2 2inch BBL. I need to know the date of manufacture. SN 1D548xx. Marked CDC 79583 just moved and my catalog is still packed up. Has a pinned barrel.

Likely 1976.

These CDC 64s were dumped on the market a couple years ago.

California Department of Corrections. CA used to destroy surplus guns as they didn't want those evil things "on the streets" but then they reconsidered and decided they could sell them...out of state. So I guess they down give a damn about other people's streets? Or maybe CA streets are the only ones with criminals looking to buy guns?

I've seen the 64 snubs in VA, and they always attract my attention, being fond of K-frame snubs AND SST.
