I got this 60-9 last week and shot it this weekend for the first time.

Man, do I like this revolver! I agonized over getting a 642 NL or a Model 60 3", however I sure am happy with this decision.

This gun was more accurate at 7 and 15 yds in SA than my 66-4 2.5". And it was the same, or maybe a little less accurate than the 66 in DA. I was always kind of ho-hum about shooting my model 36 no dash, but this gun is my favorite for right now. I really like the balance of it.

What's so strange is that, for now at least, I don't really care if I get that 642 or 60 in 3".

Of course, I'm still on the prowl for a smokin' deal on an N frame...

Yeah, my model 60-14 is a great shooter as well. I kept the Uncle Mikes on it -- they fill my hand well and stops the gun from twisting on recoil.

I also have a 60-9 just like yours.
Very good little gun and very, very accurate 7-12 yards.
I carry this little powerhouse when I travel.
Good hideaway and woods carry gun.

My favorite j frame in a 3 inch barrel with hi-viz sights, perfect balance and incredibly accurate. Soon joined by a 649 and a 640, the wife took the 649 as her CC weapon, but loves shooting the 60.

I had to put a Pachmayr Compac on my 640 to shoot magnums through it. But it makes for an amazing .38 +P shooter with some 158 SWC ammo. I added the Apex J frame spring kit in mine and really like it. The return feels odd but is positive. It's like something feels "mushy" on the return. I can't figure that one out. If I could do it over again, I would have bought the 60 instead of the 640.

I've got a 60-9 too, and I like it a lot. Just a quick story how I acquired it. Saw an ad for it online - the gun was 300 miles away. Come to find out, the seller's dad happened to live about 4 blocks away from me from where I was talking to the seller on the phone. I didn't know them, but had heard the dad's name before. His dad was leaving within the hour to drive the 300 miles to visit his son (the seller). A scramble to the bank, and within 48 hours the seller's dad brought the gun home with him, for me! The rest is history. Great little gun. wyatte
