Looking for suggestions for a Leather OWB that clips on the belt/waistline for easy attachment and removal, but is very secure. Perhaps not as secure as one that the belt threads through, but pretty solid. In my case it will be for a 637-2.

I use a Front Line paddle holster for my 640 and 642. , how ever, I have other J Frame holsters that I like better...but use this one the most.

What ammo carrier are you using in this pic?

regards

Here is a SAFARILAND 518 Paddle holster. Obviously not leather outside
but suede leather lining. Very lightweight, comfortable, and extremely
secure.

I have tried a couple of different clip styles and also a Blackhawk paddle holster. My take is that to make them secure they are a tremendous pain to put on or take off. Since my jeans fit tight w/o the belt I had to loosen the belt and undo the front snap to remove the Blackhawk. I find it easier to use my belt slide crossbreed although it squeaks.

I have a Fobus but its for a K/L frame. They probably have one to fit yours. It's secure both in the waistline & with the gun.

I have exactly the same experience.
I'm thinking about trimming the "hook" down on my Blackhawks to make them easy to get off.
There has got to be a happy median. I've got an old leather paddle holster (can't recall the maker) that slides off too easy. I won't wear it if I'm going to be around people or getting in and out of a vehicle or doing anything active.
