QBall, those holsters are garbage and I don't know if your gun will fit. You should be able to find a nylon holster that will fit a variety of guns to accomodate your snub-nose. I would advise trying out IPSC for the first time with a different gun if possible. You will need a lot of speedloaders and things to hold them in, and if you even buy the cheapest stuff available, it will still be a poor investment.

Thank you Sir.
Wise words, indeed.
Thing is i have a plan to moonclips the little bugger:D
and no one in my club have one similar to try.
Laws here in Sweden makes it difficult to just get another gun for IPSC
so i'd like to use what i allready got. I shoot CowboyAction so i'm used to the safety drill, but i need to practise reloads :o
The investment in IPSC would have to be minimal $ as i would shoot just for fun.
On the other hand i don't want to be dangerous with useless equipemt.

A nylon or leather pouch type holster will be much better than the Fobus. Unless you have phenomenal skills your rig won't be competitive. Nothing wrong with playing just for fun though. After all, it is just a game.

I did my homework on the Fobus :o
It's nothing i would bet my life on, got that.
But if i use a gun to do that here in Sweden,
i'm lookin' at a very long time in jail.

Talked to a friend in my club, and i could borrow one of his raceholster :o

I shoot USPSA and IDPA with the occasional cheap holster. The Fobus should work fine for the gun game. I once broke a cheapo (Uncle Mike's that's similar to the Fobus) by using it to conceal the gun while carrying it home after the match. It got tweaked and broke as I was getting out of the car. You can't glue this stuff back together, so I drilled a few small holes and wired it back together. It has held up fine ever since but I now bring a separate holster for concealed carry.

A 2.5" revolver should be no problem in a 4" holster. Shoot the gun games with what you carry on the street. Or better yet, buy a good holster that will hold up on the street and use it in the match. That extra fraction of a second caused by the "slow" holster will be nothing in the grand scheme of things.
