I’ve fitted an extra cylinder to my K22 with the intention of reaming it to 22mag. I see that you can rent the reamers and I’m willing to give it a go. My question is are their any forum members that could do this or do this? My work schedule is starting to push this project to the back burner. It’s so close to being a completed project. Any help would be appreciated.
Dave.

Go to the Castboolits website and look for a member there names Douguy. He uses a Sunnen hone and from all accounts he is "The Man" for cylinder work. Very pleasant to work with.

I doubt it will make too much difference with a steel frame, but the old zinc frame single actions used a barrel intended for 22 Long rifle. The larger 22 WMR bullets hitting the barrel would eventually crack the frame.

Accuracy may vary between the two cartridges because of the barrel bore size.

OP was asking about a Model 17, not a pot metal foreign piece of garbage! Why would you even mention this???
