I have a K22 Combat Masterpiece (1953) coming in that has a scope mounted and would like to return it to its original state. Will any K frame rear sight fit?

Short answer is NO. The spacing between the center of the elevation screw and the little front mounting screw changed a couple of times over the years. You have to have a sight with the same spacing. To be exactly correct the elevation and windage screw for your vintage should have a flat head, not domed, although not real important.
Another kicker is how the scope base was mounted. Was the frame drilled and tapped or the original mounting screw thread messed with.
Good luck;
Mike

Edit to add; The height of the rear sight blade will need to be .136" to work properly for sighting in on target.

This might help, read Jacks reply.

It sounds like you may not have the gun yet....when you can, post some pictures of the top strap with measurements from the cutout for the elevation stud to the mounting screw hole and I'll check my pile of rear sights to see if I have one that will fit.
