Appreciate any help..just received a brand new .44 mag from S&W. REvolver is from their 'custom shop'. Upon trying to sight this thing in, I am having to adjust the rear sight WAY over to the right..almost running off the seat (and it is still not hitting at center). Am I doing something wrong?? Any help is appreciated.

I'm not trying to be a wise guy but you need to move the rear sight in the direction you want your group to move. If your group is hitting right of the target, move the rear sight to the left. If you run out of adjustment, you probably need to return the gun to Smith for repair. Just to make sure I wasn't the problem, I would have some one else try the gun and see where they hit.

Over the years I had to return a Model 19 and a 422 for this problem. Both guns came back fixed. Good luck and I hope you find a solution to your problem.
