I usually carry a knife along with my concealed carry revolver, but it's really nothing fancy, or costly:

The blade itself holds a very sharp edge, the lever action is very responsive and the blade swings out very quickly. The faux bone grips provide a good non-slippery purchase.
There are versions of this type of knife that have a dubious story as to who really designed it and some versions can run over $100.00. The one above was under $30.00 from a web-site "Grindworx.com". Check 'em out if you'd like to browse some really neat cutlery.

Like the design. Been scoring a few new ones myself from Sog, Buck, and Gerber. So many choices for different uses for sure. Never knew there are so many different steels out there.
