Reavers

I just realized that I don't have a suitable gun for defense against Reavers. Since Reavers eat zombies and aliens for breakfast I'm thinking a high capacity fully auto 12 ga might be suitable. But since I don't have access to one, what would be your recommendation?

Just finished the series again myself!
I'd say you'd want 2 guns against reavers. The biggest most explody thing you can reach a long distance with (maybe a 50 cal that shoots bullets that explode into acid spitting bees) and then something to use on yourself once they get close enough to you.

After a few years of friends telling me to watch "Firefly", I finally gave in and did so. I have been a Sci-Fi fan since childhood, and was an original Trekkie. I was really into it, and basically any decent Sci-Fi. All the later Treks as well. What Trekkie couldn't desire Jolene Blalock from Enterprise?

But Firefly? Come on. Anyway, I finally watched it with my wife -- the entire short series and the movie Serenity -- just a few weeks ago. It is just incredible. If you like Sci-Fi at all, watch it.

The Reavers are the REAL bad guys. There's lots of other "just plain bad guys", but the Reavers are a whole 'nuther level.

Two by two, hands of blue. That was definitely a series that should have gone on for longer.

It depends on the size of the reaver, some in the series were not all that big, but since they are very tough and fearless, and essentially pack hunters, full auto is the way to go here. My vote, either a Thompson or a BAR with alot of mags for both. You're gonna need them.
