The guy I talked to was true to his word, my replacements for the mags that never came showed up today!
All and all it took two months to get mags for my .40 M&P compact.

Bought my M&P 9C the 4th of July weekend. Submitted rebate and it showed up on the Milano site August 27th. Called Milano, they said they approved the rebate and sent it to S&W in the middle of September for shipment. S&W says backorder'd. I'm still waiting, and frustrated.

Where do you live? If you are in California, then something is wrong.
I bought my M&P 9c in mid-september, sent in my rebate form when I picked it up after the DROS period, and received my magazines around the start to mid November.
HOWEVER, I am in California, so I was getting the M&P 9C 10-round mags. If you are out of the state they could be out of the 12 round mags for the 9c.

S&W is out of the 9c 12 round magazines with the finger extension. I have one on backorder. I called them and they told me it would be a couple of weeks till they came in. They do have them in stock without the finger extension.
Mailed mine for $50 rebate check on 10/7; it was posted as received 10/22; yesterday a 12/7 ship date was posted. Not here yet, though.

Mailed in my rebate on the 19th of Nov, Milano shows receiving it on the 26th of Nov, no shipping date yet, I'm hoping to get them before the end of Jan 2011. ( I bought an M&P-9 4.25" barrel - Love it)

Called S&W yesterday and the mags are on backorder, including the rebate ones. Expect them in after first of new year.

Looks like mine made it before they ran out because I just got an email notification that my mags shipped today 12/22 which means that in all likely hood I will get them before the end of the year.

Fedex says my mags will be here 12/28! So to celebrate, I went out and got an extra 210 rds of ammo, Yeehaw! I picked up some Federal Hydra-shok 135gr JHP, the range guy spoke highly of them, I'll push some through my M&P next time I hit the range and see how I like. Maybe I'll use them as my self defense carry ammo, we'll see.
