Rebate Online Update

Well hopefully S&W gives a **** and will NOT use them for future rebates.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

they probably will. Milano is is one of the 2 biggest rebate companies in the U.S.... they handle the bulk of ALL rebates.

supposedly MILANO came out and said S&W drug their heels on giving them confirmation on serial numbers, which added to the delay

I got my Shield 45 for $315 shipped. That is s phenomenal price, rebate or not. However, with the rebate, I'll end up paying LESS for my Shield than I did for my Kel-tec Pf9. Now just let that seep in...

I see Milano changed their inquiry page. It no longer shows a print/ship date for the checks. Probably too many phone calls from the starving M&P owners made them do it :D

I'm not sure they changed the page. Perhaps it looks different when they've entered multiple rebates submitted on multiple dates.

Shield .40 cal rebate

Submitted rebate on 5-27. Milano shows 2 submissions on that day. I bought just one gun. Over 2 months now and no check. Can't get any info from milano. I'll bet the two submissions screwed up there system. I hate rebates! Just lower the price at the point of purchase during the offering. I wonder if I'll ever get my $75?

According to my experience with a submission in April, it is WAY too early for you to expect your check. I'm guessing you'll see it towards end August, early September.

Good news and bad news:
Good news is my rebate check showed up yesterday (8/1). It had a shipped date of 7/14 on the Milano website. The postmark date on the envelope was 7/28.
Bad news is my wife opened the mail first so the $75 is going into the grocery account instead of the ammo fund...dang!!!

Mine arrived

I sent my rebate in online at the end of April. I finally got it 2 days ago. Per customer support they sold an overwhelming amount of firearms and are running behind in sending out the rebate checks.

I've said this elsewhere but maybe worth repeating. I submitted mine on April 29 and got the check in the mail July 17. Milano (as someone else said) is one of only 2 big companies that handle rebate and coupon redemption. I expect they got overwhelmed by the number of rebates claimed and will get more overwhelmed as the initial rebate period ended and people jumped in with their purchase at the last minute, creating another "wave" of applications. The check will come if you entered your info correctly. In the meantime, go shooting.

Every morning, I get a daily update on what to expect with that day's mail delivery, complete with photographs of each piece of mail. Here's my notice for today... :) Yay!

All in the name of $75. ;)

I'd heard that some cities were doing that now. Pretty cool stuff.

Yeah, it's called, "Informed Delivery" and I believe it's to discourage theft. If the post office shows you a piece of mail that's going to be delivered that day and you never receive it, then maybe the mailman/woman took it.

The post office already scans and captures images for routing/sorting purposes, so they basically found another use for those images. It's pretty cool.

To see if your post office offers this service, go to this link and sign up (if you don't already a USPS account).

SHIELD Rebate received

Yes people it is real. I finally received my rebate for the SHIELD 40 I purchased on 04/29/17. I received it yesterday 08/02/17. My information was never available online to check my status either. I didn't like that idea even though yes I was as greedy as anyone else to find out.

Hang in there people.

Got some correspondence in the mail relating to me "not submitting a valid receipt." They emailed me about this in June so it wasn't a surpise. I filled out a form they sent and stuffed that form and a different copy of the purchase receipt in an envelope and will mail it out on Monday.

In the meantime, I'm thinking about trading the Shield off or selling it as I could really use another J-frame.

my second one submitted the first week of June FINALLY showed up yesterday on the site. even says "processed 6/17/17"... that's a helluva long time just to get it up on the site lol
