Rebate

S&W is offering a revolver rebate. $50 on J frames, and 75 on K frames and larger. I just bought a M48, K frame, not knowing about it, and somehow ran across it or got an email from them. I scanned my receipt and the box label, sent everything in and got a notice a couple of minutes ago that my prepaid rebate card will be in the mail.

For some reason, people are just not buying many of the new S&W revolvers. I think that's the reason for the rebates. I follow monthly gun sales (new and used) via "Guns & Ammo" and other sources, and S&W revolvers don't even make the top 5! Colt, Ruger, Taurus, and Heritage are ruling the roost right now. It'll be interesting to see how S&W responds to the competition...especially now that Colt has introduced a blued Python!

Perhaps the competition helps us as S&W "encourages" their assemblers and CS Dept. to maybe pay a little more attention to their work and finished product. 'Some people say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.'

I submitted my revolver rebate on Feb 8, and got an email saying it would take 8-10 weeks to process and validate. Received the rebate card today Feb 17, 9days later. Far faster than 8-10 weeks.

Im going to the gun store tomorrow getting a 586 6in and a mod 27 , was going to go today but wifey and myself were under the weather. Will post pics when i get back.
