Picked up a nice, tight, very early .38 S&W Regulation Police that is begging to be reblued. But S&W is so backlogged they are currently not offering finishing services.

Any suggestions on reblueing services? This piece needs little to no serious buffing. Almost no pitting but the frame has less than 20% of the blueing remaining. Too nice of mechanical condition with nearly perfect grips to let remain this ugly.

Thanks,
Jeff

I have been very happy with the bluing on a couple of S&W revolvers by Glenrock Blue, Glenrock Wyoming.

Glenrock Blue - Gun Bluing, Firearms Restoration and Refinishing

Family operation. They did an excellent total refinish on a S&W 15 and just the damaged side plate on a Model 19. Very nice people to deal with, reasonable prices, quick turnaround. I was very pleased that all the markings on the Model 15 remained sharp and clear after the work. There was no pitting, just a lot of holster wear. The 19 side plate came very close to matching the factory bluing. I have been extremely pleases with their work.

Glenrock is one of the VERY few who are so good they can do a Colt Python Royal Blue.

I had a pitted up USFA Rodeo redone by Ford's in Florida and it came out really nice. I was worried about the lettering getting washed out, as it was none too deep from the factory, but my fears proved completely unfounded.
