I seem to be having similar issues with two 6" target guns from completely different periods. Both have some occasional light strikes. On investigation, BOTH appear to have had the rebound slide spring shortened. By more than the recommended ~1 coil. I have a local friend who has springs and other parts, labeled by date and model, but does not know how interchangeable they are.

My earlier thread on the older one, a 1931 K-22 is here:

K-22 First Model Double Action Not Working

I have since received a matching trigger from another forum member for that gun (Thanks, @Protocall_Design!). The other gun is a late 1950's model 14 that has had some light strikes since I owned it.

Q1 is whether springs are interchangeable between K-frames in the late 50's early 60's.
Q2, can the same springs be used on the 1931 K-22?

I can try to do this by trial and error, but I don't feel like dis=assembling these guns several times.

Light strikes are NOT usually caused by the light rebound spring, it will slow down the return of the trigger and reduced pull weight a bit. More than likely your strain screw has been shortened too much, backed out or you have a main spring that is too light.

Amend this to state that light strikes are never caused by a light rebound spring! The rebound spring has nothing to do with imparting energy to the hammer, just to drive the rebound slide to rebound the hammer and recover the trigger.

Bingo! On the K-22, someone shortened the strain screw. It is ground down almost to the threads . I'll just take one out of a different gun to test that. I had the action completely out of this gun twice, but I left the screw in the frame so it would not get lost. I think I was too busy with the other problem to really look. I SO wish people would not do things like that .
