Rebound Spring Question

I want to change the rebound spring in my 610 to improve the trigger pull.
What is the optimum spring weight to improve pull but still have a decent reset?

You may be better served by careful stoning of the rebound slide and mating surfaces. It usually produces a lighter trigger pull than replacing springs. I wouldn't drop below a 13# spring.

Just changing the spring is of little value unless the gun is broken in and deburred.
If you are planning to use it for IDPA or USPSA rapid firing, don't lighten it too much or it will give problems. Mr Miculek uses a stronger than normal rebound spring for his rapid shooting.

Since every gun is different, there really is no definite answer.

Best advice is to make sure the gun has been used enough to break it in well, then buy a spring kit with several weight springs.
Install the "in between" size and test fire the gun at least 100 rounds with the SAME ammo you intend to use.
If it works, you can try the lighter spring, but don't be surprised by ignition problems.

Note that firing some cheap ammo to verify reliable ignition, then loading up with the ammo you intend to really use may lead to unpleasant surprises of a "click" instead of a "BOOM".
In all cases of any work on the action or springs, don't trust....verify by shooting with the intended ammo.

A positive return is a must. I can get a 14 LB to work but others like a 15 LB spring. Factory is 18 LB, so there is some lead way with springs. This is with full power main springs.
