Anyone making these?
Any interest?
For those who just don't care for the A2 sight and want to use flip ups only.

The 15-22 is a blowback, not gas direct impingement like the big brothers.

Therefore, no gas block required.

Not sure what you're looking for. The A2 front sight can be removed from the rail and replaced with flip ups.

I know it's a .22lr, I was thinking there may be those who want to use flip up sights with a hand guard conversion.
I made a rail height railed gas block for my last build and used Troy battle sights and it was nice, SOooooo Just wondering if there is any interest in this product, or if anyone else is making them yet ???

pic.
These would be custom made to fit the standard 1522 barrel, Not the performance center model.

what ya think?

I'm certainly no expert, and the 15-22 isn't meant to be a tack-driver, but isn't attaching ANYTHING to the barrel that is directly related to the optics generally considered a bad thing?

Also, on a rifle with a gas port, there are usually methods to reliably lock the gas block in place.

Sure, it COULD be done. Besides the potential aesthetics, I guess I'm missing the point.

I'm sure that some might want it, but with the trend towards swapping out the factory hand guard for aftermarket free floating ones, I'm not sure that it would be a very large number of people buying them. Also airsoft gas blocks with the standard lower height rail avaliable for $20 you would be further limited to those that want that specific height of rail, or those who aren't willing to do some tinkering to install hand guards. The process of installing hand guards already involves quite a bit of tinkering, someone comfortable with that might not have any issues adapting the lower gas block when they start the project.

I think it looks nice and we'll done, I'm all for new well designed products, just having been stuck in niche markets before I hate to see someone do a ton of work and no one buy it.

This would be used primarily for those with hand guard conversions and it would come with a hand guard end cap that will hold everything together tightly at the front.
It is meant to be used for AR15 flip up sights as that seems to be the trend in the AR world.
The gas block IS the same height as the receiver rail so it is SAME PLANE, for sights.
I seriously doubt that it would have a noticeable effect on accuracy, they don't seem to on real ARs.

Anyway just gauging interest.

I run a 12" free float hand guard but that is a good looking gas block.

I have to say, I DO like the look of that.

That said i am contemplating a change round of my front end at the moment to move away from quad rail, and being as I live in UK am guessing these wouldn't be available this side the pond.

if I was definitely staying with the quad I would be interested in one.
Hope that helps with gauging :D

Well done on what looks to be a very well made add on.
