Any of you guys shoot comp?

Was replacing my factory with a few different weights.

What have you found to be perfect fit for you?

I have a 9L shoot Win White box only 115gr.

The factory weight is 16 lbs. in the 9/357/40. I have a 40L, I use an ISMI flat wire 17 lb. spring. But I changed out the captured factory kit, which is used in both the 4.25" and 5" models with a guide rod that only fits the 5".

Is that a Tacrack on the back end of your slide? If so, why?

What It is; an EZ Slide Racker from Springer Precision. Why; for me, with the optic mounted on the slide I prefer racking the slide from the rear. It's the cat's nuts for me.

Why would you go to a heavier spring? Seems counter productive for doubles? I am dropping to 11lb with uncaptured guide, the one for just 5inch. Seems going to higher lb would cause more dip on followup/double taps.

I'm not shooting 9mm, I'm working with .40 cal with extra mass on the slide with the optic. Very happy with my current setup. 11 lbs. seems way low, but, I wish you all the best with it.

Medalist, I like your term "Cat's nuts." Never heard that....I sometimes say "It's the bee's knees." I guess your term is one step up......haha
