Recommendations for easy to rack pocket 9

There are some easy rack slide devices out there on the market that could help with the initial loading.
Of course that wouldn't do you much good in an emergency if you had a malfunction and needed to rack.
Depending on how bad your situation is you may be able to find the strength then, but it is a gamble.

How about a Smith model 940?
I'm in a similar situation but it's not age related but due to a motor nerve condition.
My everyday carry's a 442 that's been modified a bit but I've been thinking of getting a 9mm for a higher capacity and easier reloading (changing a mag's less fiddly than either a speed loader or a quick strip for my gimpy hand).
I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread and see what gets recommended.

I tried one last week and will buy one. Doesn't take near as much grip strength to rack the slide.

Try a Ruger LC9. My old hammer fired version is pretty easy to rack. Don't know about current LC9s.
I was just about to make the exact same recommendation.
I carry mine every day.
I have similar issues. A company called "ArachniGrip" makes an add on solution for most semi-auto pistols, including the G26. Non-slip "grip" tape (adhesive) that is cut specifically for your gun....fits over the slide and conforms to the factory serrations to provided added grip. Very effective, and easy to install. Makes no permanent change in the gun itself.

As an alternative.....addition of a small piece of grip tape or non-slip commercial tape (i.e. "Gator Grip") to the sides of the slide itself is also an option. I cut small pieces/strips of this commercial "non-slip" tape and placed it down into the slide serrations on my G36. Easy to rack with this simple and inexpensive add-on applied.

Another gun that is really easy to rack is the Sig P238.
Now the P238 is a 380 which I know you don't want, but I'd try the P938 which is the slightly larger 9mm version of the P238.
It does have a safety though.

...never have to rack a Beretta 86...it's a 380 though...

Couldn't you modify any no-safety DA/SA to the DAO your looking for by filing off the full-cock notch on the hammer?
If that's the case, maybe something like the CZ RAMI BD with the FC notch filed off gets you what your looking for.

As much as I'd like to have a Beretta 86, I think it (and the Tomcat + the 21's) is a no-go for defensive carry. Should you have a misfire, granted unlikely but possible, there is no tap-rack-bang because they don't have an extractor. I kept my Tomcat for a year or so until I realized I'd be in a hurt with a dud primer in any kind of confrontation. And, I can second the comments about the ease of racking the slide on both the SIG 238 and Springfield 911 in .380 ...

I cary a LC9S and I have arthritic hands... Pretty easy to rack..

Are you aware of the push-pull technique for racking the slide of a semiauto?
It's out of production now, but look for a SIG P250 subcompact. I have one in .380. It's ridiculously easy to rack and it's pocket carryable. With the right ammo, (I use Fiocchi XTP) a .380 can perform close to 9mm levels, and the P250sc can carry 13 rounds. All P250s are DAO. Their triggers are a bit long, but extremely smooth, maybe the smoothest factory DAOs available. They're accurate and relentlessly reliable as well.
All of the above applies to the P250sc in 9mm, except for the racking part. The 9mm version also may be easy to rack, but I've never handled one, so I can't say for certain.
