Not necessarily looking for a belt to carry a holster. Just wanting to buy a decent belt to wear with jeans. Will gladly pay a custom leather shop if I can find what I'm after. Figure 1 3/4 inch wide (I'm assuming most jeans will accommodate this width.) Seems like all I encounter at retail stores are flimsy in my opinion. thanks in advance for your input.

Bullhide Belts. Seemingly unlimited choices in styles, widths, decoration, etc. Reasonably priced.

I have two of their 1.75-inch wide belts. Perfect for jeans and other casual pants. They'll probably last longer than I will.

I think most jeans, mine anyhow, use a 1 1/2 belt. I ordered one from the beltman and it should be in any day.

We've got a bunch...and I mean a bunch...of quality leather craftsmen on this forum. There's keith44spl, Loboleather, Snubbyfan, just to name a few. And, from what I've seen, they all do great work.

Now...just a couple of old adgages that make a lot of sense when you're shopping for quality leather products.

First, you get what you pay for.

And second, a thing of beauty is a joy forever.

I really have liked the Cross Breed gun belt I have worn the last couple years. It has really stood up, hardly any wear marks, and it is guaranteed for life. It is built very well.I am impressed with their fine work, good materials, great customer service and dedication to the Christian life style. This is my only experience with a special purpose belt, but carry or otherwise, I would order one again.

You could check Midway for their Lenwood Leather Hybrid Belt 1.5" I ordered one a couple of weeks ago and it is a really heavy duty belt that should hold up for ever.

Bull Belts All American Brand sold by Daltech Force on ebay. 1/4 inch thick Bull Hide that is one piece not two sewed together. $45 freight paid. Mine is 1 1/2 wide and works great for CCW or just everyday wear.

I made this ranger belt for a forum member.

It can be used to just hold up trousers.
Or to carry your favorite snubby in a custom made matching holster.

This person needed somewhere to put her favorite buckle.

The beauty of cutting the leather straps myself is that I can made them any width I want.
My own personal belt.
