Fantastic rig. I’m sure you will like it. I have one that has been used hard for 30+ years and it shows no signs of giving up yet. Carries my heavy Ruger Bisley quite well. Only negative is the long wait.

Milt Sparks PMK, best I've ever used. R. Grizzle and Sam Andrews are close runners up

^^ agree on the PMK. It's the most comfortable holster I own. However, Milt Sparks limits barrel length on the PMK to 4". OP has a 5" barrel.

+1 for RGrizzle

I started having all my holsters custom made several years ago when I figured out that with a little patience I could get exactly what I wanted, quality made, and not any more expensive that top tier production holsters. My last half dozen holsters have been made to my specifications by Nixon Leather. Nixon Leather | Alliance NE

Here's a holster he made for me for my 3 inch S&W model 65 that I'm pleased with.

No range that I frequent, and I frequent quite a few, would permit you to enter the range with a loaded gun in a holster - any holster - if that's the gun you plan to shoot that day. If you're carrying a concealed handgun that you're not going to shoot they don't know, they don't ask, they don't care. All range guns have to come inside unloaded and in cases. The only range(s) that will permit loaded weapons in holsters, that I know about, anyway, are:

1. Any competition range, but even then you don't show up wearing your loaded weapon. You can walk around all you want, for instance, at a cowboy action range/match with your guns strapped on but they damned well better be unloaded.

2. Training ranges for any kind of self defense courses where you train to shoot from cover, at close quarters, or even long distance practice shooting at goblins, and EVEN THEN you don't show up with loaded guns in holsters.

Anyone know differently?

Thank you for being more specific than I was. My clubs would kick you out for showing up with a visible gun in a holster. I thought maybe the rules might be different somewhere else.

Aker holster. I never had one for a revolver but I have used them for pistols. I found them to be very well maded.
