I just had to post this one. Someone paid $1150, add shipping and commission the total is $1450.

I may have missed something here, but that is big money for a refinished, cut barrel 38 Double Action, 4th Model that does not even qualify as an antique.

Smith & Wesson 4th Model DA pocket top break revolver, .38 caliber, 2.75" barrel, S/N 413309, blued finish, checkered hard rubber grips; overall fine condition although this gun does not have a barrel address and there is under the left grip "6.50" stamped (return to factory for repair or re-finish date); still a fine piece, possibly sent back for customized shorter barrel.

. . . now where did I put my hacksaw??

While that is a neat configuration, and a quality refinish, it wouldn't rate more than about $400 as a shooter with me, and most probably not that much to many. It amazes me the prices people are willing to pay in this day and age for what "they perceive" are custom pieces. Well, it's their money, unfortunately it sets a precedent and other uninformed individuals think that is a valid price.

Man, the price of my cut barrel 4th 32 safety hammerless bicycle gun with the half dime for a front sight just tripled in price!:D

No doubt Annie Oakley owned it once. That surely explains the price.:D
