Red Dot for a M41?

Flame, I wonder how tight the chamber is on that new barrel of yours, or how much lube there is on the subsonics. I bought a match barrel from Clark for one of my 41s and it's tighter than factory and I had some feeding problems too. Had to rethink what rounds I could use.

Range report:

I used Winchester Subsonic from Wally World, replaced the firing pin, firing pin spring, Extractor, extractor spring and put a stock tension fresh recoil spring. Works great! Problem solved!

The older M41 barrels require drilling and tapping for a base while the newer ones are already drilled and tapped. Purchase the 30mm Ultradot and use it with one of the larger dot sizes so that you concentrate on the shot rather than where the dot is in the black. With the learge dot slightly smaller than the black of the target it is easier for me to keep the shoots where they belong.

Won't touch Remington anymore. Too many failure to fire with a nice firing pin indent. CCI SV is flawless. Wolf Match Target is also good, but kind of waxy. UltraDot MatchDot is what is on my Hammerli now, after three others that didn't make the grade. There are rings that adapt from Weaver to 11mm, and probably the other way around, but they take some searching.

Bullseye rocks!

Jack Weigand makes an excellent mount for the M41. I have a spare 5" bbl and chose the Weigand mount. Another avenue would be to take the bbl to the gunshop and try various Weaver bases for the best fit then have a gunsmith drill and tap and mount the sight.
