Red Dot for M&P 15 Sport II

I have a M&P 15 sport II. Fold down rear sight and fixed front sight. I am looking at the Romeo 5 red dot sight. I understand it does not come with a lower 1/3 co-witness. I am looking at the American Defense AD-T1-10. It is advertised as an Absolute co-witness. Some people are saying with the Romeo 5 it will put it as a 1/3 because of the Romeo height. AD makes the AD-T1-11 that they advertise as a lower 1/3. A guy said in a comment section that one is too tall. I hope somebody on here can give me some info before I purchase. I prefer the 1/3

I believe that the Romeo5 sight includes low and high mounts which would allow co-witness with the iron sights. I don’t know about lower 1/3 or if it is true co-witness matching sights with dot.

There are at least two versions to the Romeo5 being sold at discount recently. One has both mounts and one has only the high.

The Romeo 5 comes with 2 mounts. A lower which is useless to me. The tall mount puts it at an absolute co-witness. That is why I am researching other mounts

I just mounted a Romeo 5 on a rifle with fixed front and folding rear and used a Reptilia Dot Mount, P/N 100-004, works great and does provide a lower 1/3 sight picture. Hope this helps.

I have a Romeo5 on my AR, used the stock high mount for co-witness.
Have been using it for a couple of years and it has been perfect, still on original battery. Holds zero just fine and it is affordable.
Cannot see any reason not to try one.

Romeo 5 on my M&P15 Sport as well. Full height mount, and Tactical Solutions flip-up front and rear sights. 1/3 co-witness, and all work together well.

I have a Romeo 5 (AAA battery version) and I'm happy with it.

Have one on mine, very happy with it. Don’t really need to co-witness with a front sight I use mine with out co-witnessing with a front sight. Spot on. You can’t go wrong in my opinion
