Red dot for shotgun. Question

I hunt turkey with a 16ga. Stevens 620 pump. In early morning and late evening I have a hard time picking up the bead sight. My eyes are not as good as they used to be especially in low light conditions.

I am thinking of installing a red dot sight. Have any of you used a red dot on a shotgun and what, in your opinion, is a good sight that will stand up to a shotgun’s recoil and hold zero?

I have Sightron's rendition on a Guide Gun. If it holds up to my hot 45-70 recoil it will handle you 16 easily! It is set up for Weaver Bases. Ivan

I bought, years ago, snap on rifle sights for my turkey gun. The rear was a green light gathering tube shaped like a horseshoe and the front was an orange tube. Each had magnets in their bases to secure them. I got to the point I would leave the front on. They were fairly reasonable, too.

They make the "fiber optic" type that is easier to see. But the Red dot sight would work too. Is the gun already set up for scope bases?

Check out Burris. They make a model of the Fastfire red dot sight just for shotguns. They may have one that will fit your shotgun without drilling it.
