Red dot on my 41

Ok want to buy a red dot for my 41. Looking at leupold delta point with ar mount . And what picatinny rail should i buy ? thanks

There have been a number of threads on this forum on the subject but I’d suggest looking for an alternative to the picatinny rail type as it ends up being quite high.

There are some direct mount options available in the US that I couldn’t access here in Australia because of ITAR’s (including BME mounts, EGW and KKDepot) so I ended up making up my own as in the thread below:

Thanks for posting that link Larks. It was a most interesting thread. With aging eyes, I'm considering doing something similar with my Model 41 7 1/2" pistol.

Another easier option that I have committed to is to buy a late Model 41 at my friend's gun shop that has both the factory barrel as well as a Clark match barrel with a Leopold Delta Point already on it.

After the umpteenth jam on my Model 41, I bought the Clark STC barrel. The top strap stops at the end of the breach, which eliminates jams. The redot scope mounts closer the bore axis.
