Red Dot sight size

For Steel Challenge I use a 12 minute dot. For accuracy work I use a 3. I use C-More sights and it's easy to just change the dot size when needed.

I shot the Vortex Venom last year and it's a great sight. I changed back to the C-More for the bigger dot.

Here is a reference I made for shooting bowling pins at 25 feet. I use an 8MOA for pins and steel plates and a 3MOA for longer range targets.

Useful! Thanks for sharing!

I'll be putting a reflex sight on a 625 for shooting paper and have been agonizing over what size dot to go with.

OK, so I went with the Fastfire III, very easy to mount. Took it out and put about 100 rounds through it today. Makes it much easier to put holes in the target where I want to. My bifocals made things a challenge at times. Very pleased with the results.

I like that rear sight rail. Been thinking about one for my TRR8. I have the FF3 on the rail that came with it now. Wouldn't mind the dot being just a bit lower. 3moa for me. The thing is pretty awesome out to a hundred yards.

I target shoot , S&W model 64 -38 special w red dot sight , the 3 moa dot affords more precise accuracy . If you are doing action shooting , fast with large targets go larger .
Trying to take out a Bullseye Match X ring, see post #6 ...go 3 moa .
