I'm putting together a presentation for an American Hero. He served an entire career (37 medals, 4 purple hearts). I am looking for Red White and Blue knife to present to him.

If anyone can help me find one or if anyone has one for sale, please email me at:

Thanks,

:) I think Kershaw makes one, but seems like he
deserves better. May check out Smokey Mountain Knife

The perfect knife would be the Chris Reeve Sebenza with Freedom CCG. The Sebenza is not cheap but nothing comes close unless you get into one off customs. The small Freedom will set you back around $400 and the large will be about $75 more. Here's a link to their site which shows the knife and also has a list of dealers.

The pattern the Freedom replaced, called the Stars and Strips, is also very nice and can occassionally be found for a little less at some Chris Reeve dealers.

Great advice from Bob about the Sebenza. Chris Reeve Knives has won the BLADE Magazine "Quality Manufacturing Award" for something like the last eight years in a row.

I would only add that if you call the shop they can also personalize the knife a bit for you by engraving the handles (I had that done along with a little other work for a knife in memory of my dad that I carry). Give the shop a call and talk with them. They're always glad to help and with something this special, I'm sure they'd be right on board.

I saw you posted this at Blade Forums, which should get you more input. Good luck with the thoughtful idea...I'm sure any knife will carry a lot of meaning for this man.

Knife for an American Hero

I've sent many emails to many folks. I have had several kind people who are willing to donate a knife for Mr. Metro Boone Fox. I've also bought several knives to put in the case (don't tell the wife!)

I have found a display case and am now making labels and a placard for the case.

I'll post pictures of the event on the evening of November 7th. It should be a very special day for all.

We are planning on presenting quilts of valor to over 50 deserving heros!
