Ive been shooting this for a few weeks now and have to say it's a top 3 revolver for me.

I put a 12lb Wolff spring in it and Hogue Mono grips and is a joy to shoot. Single action is 5lbs and double action 9lbs.

Triple lock and can use moon clips.8 rounds.Well balanced and points perfectly for me. Recoil is mild with 357 rounds.Round butt.

I especially like how clean the exterior is..no safety warnings, no scan codes...just the caliber and the name. Nice!

Now I need a holster...owb, rh. I found them for the Alaskan but am not sure if the Redhawk is the same.

I had your gun’s little brother, a GP 100. A spring kit worked wonders for it. The grip felt good in the hand.

Mine was a good shooter, until the forcing cone cracked. I sent it back. Unrepairable. So they sent to me an SR 1911 Target. What a great company to deal with.

Hey Break, send me a PM if you want a further discussion about the Hamilton Bowen rear sight that I have.

I was considering buying a “bloodwork” S&W 627 but I’m not a fan of the flat barrel plus they are more than double the Redhawk price.

I have a 40 yr old Redhawk in 44 and have shot it a lot so not much of a “gamble” as to the design etc. and like the "Ruger" double action as much as S&W or Colt. etc.

I liked the idea of 8 rounds of .357 Magnum in a compact package. so was considering the choices.

So far I could not be more impressed. It actually pocket carries for walking well (I wear coveralls mostly) but it really needs a “tidy” side holster. I think I’ve found one that is specifically for it.

The Super Redhawk Alaskan holsters will work but they have a thicker top strap so not an ideal fit.

I was really amazed how well this handles magnum loads. The gun remains on target between rounds (fast da) very well. It’s “compact” but is a solid 40oz. of SS metal.

10lbs in a 5lb bag. 357 is my favorite all around handgun round. Must be why I have lots of ammo in that caliber. :)

I have a redhawk round butt in 45LC/.45 acp and is a great feeling in the hand and shoots like a dream. Yours is a fabulous revolver.

Very nifty gun; thanks for sharing it with us!

You might consider Simply Rugged, which makes holsters for the Redhawks. I've found Mr. Leahy's holsters to be of very good quality - at a very good price - custom-made very quickly (just had one delivered yesterday - a couple weeks after I ordered it).

They make lots of OWBs.

I have the 2.75” .41 mag…same otherwise. The Alaskan holster from Ruger’s online sight is a perfect fit to my Redhawk. Congrats on your .357, my thoughts are that this is a significant heavy piece which I like very much. Enjoy!
