Camping season is right around the corner. I was thinking about our gear, the fact that we need a new cooler, etc.
Then I started thinking about the Redneck Oven that I built for Mrs. Hillbilly a couple years ago. She wanted something to bake muffins & biscuits, etc. in. We looked around and didn't find what we were looking for, so I decided to build one.
I custom built it to fit on top of our Coleman camp stove.
The first trip with it, she baked fresh apple pie at the campsite. That got people's attention when they walked by..."is that apple pie I smell?"
"Yup, sure is,". :D

After enjoying some delicious homemade apple pie made by my lovely wife and daughters today I can only say that the only thing better than freshly baked apple pie would be freshly baked apple pie COOKED IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS!

That is slick! If that pie tasted half as good as it looked, I guess you were in hog heaven!!:D

And I thought I may be overburdened with camp conveniences and appliances... When pies are wanted in camp, bring one from the supermarket bakery, as well as other baked goods...
