Didn't want to steal the thread, but I need to tell somebody this!
As some of you may remember, I have been laid up for most of the last 2+ years: First with a broken humerus, then I broke my kneecap for the second time, and then heart failure and sentenced to two terms in the ICU. I related elsewhere my ghost stories from the ICU and the convalescent home. I am getting around pretty good=using a walker for morning walks, but no more wheelchair and rarely my cane.
Anyway, each morning, my wife has to put my compression socks on, and my boots after I pull up my pants. This morning she had to go to physical therapy for some chiropractic issues. So, as usual, she helped me dress at 6:30 and left for PT. She said she'd be back before work (changing from her sweats to office attire). Two of the dogs were lying with me, so I didn't want to get up.
After a while, the better half came home, reminded me I had told her that I would feed the dogs and give the one her meds. She changed her clothes and went into the back yard, presumably on "poop patrol" or picking flowers for the office. I got up, put on a shirt, poured a cup of coffee and sat down. All three dogs followed me for their morning treats (One with a pill hidden in it!). Before I sat down, I mixed the dog food and distributed it, took my meds, checked my BP, glucose levels, etc.
Here's the kicker! As I was drinking my coffee, my wife walks in! She's wearing her sweats. I asked why she came home. At first I thought car problems, or she was suddenly feeling ill. SHE THEN DENIES COMING HOME THE FIRST TIME!
Doppelganger?
Wasn't "sleep paralysis" because I rolled over and talked to her as she sat on the edge of the bed getting dressed! Our wirehaired griffon jumped up on the bed and I ordered her to get down (Otherwise, a dog fight would have ensued)
