Hello. I'm looking for a decent leather OWB holster for my 342Ti and am hoping to find something for $50 or less (level 1 retention only and capable of one handed reholstering). I'm thinking I'd like to try a pancake style holster, but am open to suggestions. Any thoughts?

There are a handful of El Paso Saddlery Combat Express holsters for sale on eBay to the tune of $30.

It's a scabbard style OWB; El Paso is a top notch outfit.

You know, Hunter is still making holsters, and they're reasonably priced. I've always considered them "bare bones" holsters, but they're leather and they get the job done. There's a guy at gun shows here, has a wall covered with Hunters of every shape and size. Has Hunter belts, too.

BIANCHI model 55L LIGHTNIN belt slide holster.

Fits all 4 of my J frame revolvers.

Can find them on ebay or amazon for under $50

Thanks Uncle Pauly, but I'm looking for Level 1 retention only. I did come across the Bianchi 57 Remedy and it seemed perfect except there were several reviews stating that the belt loops are too undersized to work with a 1.5" gun belt.

Let me add another to consider. Take a look at the Galco "combat master". This holster houses my 66-1 2.5" and for a off the rack purchase, I really like it........

Contact Ed.
Rodek Leather Works, Inc. - Holsters
His pancake holsters are about $38 in your choice of color and finish.
I personally prefer his mahogany basketweave.
Delivery time is usually a week.
You can't beat his quality. The commercial holster makers would charge at least double for the quality of Ed's holsters. Ed has been doing leather work for over 30 years that I've known him. Ed is retired and does it as a hobby which is why he doesn't charge the high prices. He's made a lot of holsters for people on this forum who have thanked me afterwards for referring them to Ed.
You won't be disappointed.

I'm telling my age, but those pancake holsters look just like the original Roy Baker models. I had one of the originals and carried a Colt Satin Commander in it. It was one great holster.

Try an avenger style holster for your OWB. Fits tight to your body, takes up less room on your belt.

Agreed, my personal favorite holster by far.

Check out Simply Rugged. Their Silver Dollar Pancake is made for small frame revolvers and retails for $50.00 plus shipping. Own many of their products and very satisfied.

I think just about everyone who makes holsters makes a Roy Baker pancake style holster.
I've still got 3 original Roy Bakers. One for a 4" K frame, one for a S&W 39, and one for a 7.5" Super Blackhawk.
The holsters Ed turns out actually are made from heavier leather than Roy Bakers. I've got 3 holsters that Ed has made and they have held up to a lot heavier use and abuse and retained their shape better than Roy's.

+1 on the Simply Rugged Silver Dollar pancake - my 642 is riding in one on my hip as I type this. I bought one with the floral carving last year for my wife, and it's a real work of art, though the carving would put it over your price point.

You had also asked about the DeSantis Mini-Scabbard. I recently got one of those for my Walther PPK/S, and although I haven't really had the time to "get to know it" real well, I will say it's nicely made and well-fitted, and it's one of the most comfortable rigs I've ever worn.
