Found and scanned a reloading data sheet for the .357-44 Bain and Davis round from 1960 or so.

This is a bottleneck cartridge made from .44magnum brass, necked down to .357magnum.

I am still looking for dies, but thought to provide this page for those interested.

I have tried to get the data from Bain Davis Guns in CA...no reply. Tried to get dies from Bain Davis Guns in CA...no reply.

If you have a set of dies for this round, send me an e-mail. I have a SW 28 6" with one of these cylinders and nothing to feed it.

For dies: Try Huntington Dies, and they won't be cheap. but probably in stock!

Also try CH-4D dies in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. When I was in their storage room about 16-18 years ago, there were 4 sets on the shelf, Quality is on par or better than RCBS. I have no idea on pricing.

I saw a 6" 27 converted to 357 B&D and a Dan Wesson in 357 Max, and went with the 357 Max because of using regular 357's as plinker loads.

I'm fairly sure RCBS will make you a set of dies if they don't have any on their shelf. Of course they will cost you but still, such a nice fun needs to be shot with the cartridge intended for it.
