I usually remember but since I moved from the last home of Davy Crockett I don't hear as much about it. growing up in Rutherford, TN I, as everyone else heard about Davy all our lives. they dedicated a replica of his last home on the school grounds when I was in the first grade(1956)(yes, I'm old). his mother's grave was moved from her farm west of town to the cabin grounds. if anyone is traveling thru northwest TN from Memorial day to Labor Day weekend and the first full week of October, you should stop and visit the cabin and grounds. in the cabin there is a replica cabin I built over 20 years ago.
