Remember

I remember something like this story. A man was going to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge. He felt totally isolated and forgotten. Time to end it. A stranger just happened to bump into him. The stranger apologized and asked him how he was doing and wished him a beautiful day. The guy turned around and went home.

I try to remember #1. Especially when someone does something I perceive to be inconsiderate or rude (usually driving). I just think to myself they might be lost in their thoughts and struggling with something. My wife who is an absolute angel taught me this.

I was an engineer at a major medical center with a very large campus that can be confusing. Even though my job wasn’t direct patient care whenever I saw a patient looking confused or in need I alway asked if I could help. You never really knew, they may have just received live changing news, and sadly it usually wasn’t good.

Years back my Pastor & I went deer hunting early one fall morning. A truck came up behind us going faster than I was & flashed his lights & wanted to pass. So I pulled off at the next 2 lane place & the guy passed at high rate of speed. As I saw his tail light disappear I said " hurry on brother, Hell ain't half full yet.". I thought my Pastor would die laughing. True story.
