Is it Remington-UMC in the green/white box with brass cases? I'm not sure, but I don't think Remington Express offers the JSP bullet.

It's pretty hot stuff with a lot of blast noise but manageable recoil from an L-frame or larger. From a K-frame it gets a bit bouncy, and it's very unpleasant from a J-frame. Both the famous R357M1 load with the semi-jacketed hollow point and your ammo are identical in power, just a different bullet and case.

Their published velocities are usually right on the mark from actual revolvers, not just test barrels.

I've chrono'd it and the ES and SD were quite good, and accuracy was fine.

If you just bought it, and paid less than $30 for it, you got a good price on it in today's market.

That I can tell, the only Remington 125 grain is the SJHP load. It hits around 1500 fps from my 5 inch Model 27, with a hefty blast, but not much recoil. Bullets tend to come apart somewhat violently at that speed, but they really make an impression on varmints.

I think what jimmyj is asking about is Remington L357M12. Remington's ballistics chart shows it to be equal to the Semi-jacketed hollow point R357M1 and I have found that to be the case as well.

I fired a round of R357M1 from my 6" 686 into bare Perma-Gel from a range of about four feet. Fragmentation was violent, but useful, and the base of the bullet expanded to around .60 cal and maintained significant weight. Penetration was very good too.
