A gentleman I know has a nice Remington 572 Deluxe Fieldmaster for sale. Very good condition with a 3-9 Simmons scope and sling. Monte Carlo stock. Probably bought back in the 1990’s or early 2000’s. Asking $300 for it. Buy or pass?? TY!

That's a good deal for the Deluxe model ...if you like pump action .22 rifles .
I purchased one 7 or 8 years ago in excellent condition for $275 but ended up selling it about a year later for what I paid for it.
I found out after the purchase that I just don't like pump action rifles...or shotguns for that matter.
I also didn't care for the loose rattly forearm or the painted aluminum receiver.

Santa Claus brought me a 572 standard grade when I was 10 years old, 1969. Weekly allowance became a brick of 22s, and I shot the snot out of that gun. I was probably at about 50,000 rounds through that gun when I had to replace the bolt in some of the mechanism in the detachable trigger simply from being worn out. I had about a 20 acre backyard with a 50 yd range measured from the rear deck. Nothing but good things to say about that 572.

$79.95, from WT Grant in 1973. The price tag was still on the box when daddy told me to pull that box out from under the couch and see what I got for my birthday.

It was my first, so I guess that makes it the one I've had the longest.
