Remington cuts jobs in NY

I was in Walmart earlier today and there were about half a dozen price rollback stickers on ammo. Most were hunting calibers, other than .40 S&W.

I think that says a lot about the current stocks of most calibers of ammunition.

Interesting.

I was at our WalMart here in Tampa doing a shelf check on ammo (as you do :) ) and there were stacks amd stacks of WWB, Federal, Tula etc. 9mm, plenty of .45, and 40S&W.

Last year at this time, same store consistently had 0 ammo on hand.

Reckon the market might be a bit soft?

Correct me of I'm wrong. Remington is primarilying a manufacturer of bolt action rifles and shotguns (pump and semi automatic). In my opinion most of the demand shortage was of high-capacity rifles and pistols
Other than a few ar15 variants, what does remington offer?

People are claiming this layoff is a result of a soft market (which I agree, things have plateau ed off for now), but remington isn't known due producing high capacity hand guns or rifles.

Another subtle method....

Restrict the markets so that gun manufacturer's have to cut production. If they can get gun manufacturers to shut their doors, and they control imports, guns are out of business

Was in wally world yesterday. Only price roll back was on the 100 round WWB 45acp. And as far as the selection is concerned just the usual WWB in different calibers and not much else. Guess the gremlins are still out there. Frank

NY is bad for gun related anything. I did read in the NRA mag American Rifleman mag. Remington is moving because of the present gov in NY. Remington will be making the Marlin's in NY.

The North is no place to make guns in this country. For some reason Yankees don't like guns. Must be a certain part of the population that wears skirts who make the rules. Whereis John Wayne when you need him.

Pennsylvania has the most NRA members out of any other state.
