Picked up some Remington Golden Bullets 36g hollow point 1280 fps 525 value packs recently at Walmart. They did not state "new and improved" on the box, but I assumed they were new production.

Shot about 12 mags. They were as, if not more, accurate than my CCI tacticals at 7 yards. Zero malfunctions and the slide locked back every time. I was a little worried given their poor reputation, but quite please with them today.

I keep the slide/hammer contact area polished and lubed with Frog lube.

Mine is just under 2 weeks old and I've had it to the range twice. Just about finished with my first box of Remington Golds (525) and not a single hiccup. That's a good thing because that is all that I've been able to get my hands on without paying some of the ridiculous prices out there today. I managed to pick up 4 boxes at Bass Pro over 2 separate visits @ $26 a box.

Wife and I ran about 400 rounds of the Rem Golden in March. It left gold flecks on everything inside but did run well.

I have yet to try the Golden Bullets, as I have not seen them for sale. But mine has been flawless with everything I have thrown at it so far, Winchester 525 bulk, Federal 550 and 525 (Champion) bulk, CCI Blazer 525, Winchester Power Point and CCI mini-mags.

I could not be happier, considering the jam-o-matic Walther P22 it replaced.

Never had a problem with the Golden Bullets. However, I have had a few problems with some CCI mini's. But those could have very well just been a bad batch of ammo.

My experience also. Ran okay but not as accurate as CCI Blazers. Do not care for the gold flecks at all! Once was enough for me in my pistol so will use the rest in one of my rifles. Fortunately I only bought one brick of the Rem Golden Bullets.

Good to know-thanks for the info. I usually avoid Rems, but maybe it's time to give 'em another shot:D My M&P 22 has eaten every type of ammo I have put through it (mostly CCI, Win, and Federal). Cheers

My M&P22 doesn't like golden bullets at all. I have some of the new and improved to try with it yet though. On the bright side, they run just fine in my 15-22

Mine runs fine with everything CCI (even standard vel.), Aguila, Rem Thunderbolts, etc.. It hates Winchester 555 36 gr. HP white box though.

I've had the same experience as crebble. Fired 500 rounds of Remington Golden, 100 of CCI mini-mags and it STILL hates the Winchester 555.
