In plain terms the bonded ammo is designed to stay together when shot at a item such as automobile glass, drywall, etc. Most LE agencies prefer bonded ammo for this reason as non-bonded breaks up or can break up upon impact.

That's good info to know,as I have both.

Bonded and nonbonded bullets are ideal for different applications. A great example would be the 125 gr. .357. Speer offers a Gold Dot, which is bonded, and Remington offer the reknowned SJHP, which isn't. Their ballistics on paper are identical, as I recall, but the Remington's fragmentation could be a big plus in a typical shooting where barriers aren't an issue. The Speer bullet would likely do better against auto glass which can tear the jacket right off an unbonded bullet and beat the snot out of it in general. I would tell someone to select one over the other based on which conditions one is most likely to encounter.
