**UPDATE - Scroll down to post #42***
I have a 1965 production Remington Model 600 chambered in .243 on the way.
This one has had the rib and trigger guard replaced with metal parts
I already own a Remington Model Seven in .257 Roberts "Ackley Improved" with a Shilen barrel and have always wanted a .243 around so when this oppourtunity came along I grabbed it.
Should have it in my hands mid next week....the wood stock needs to be refinished but the metal is in great shape.
I am told they are great shooters, but there was a lot of negative press about them mainly due to their looks.
Would like to hear from those who own or have owned one of these little carbine's???
