This is the one that might finally push me to get one of these. The wood furniture along with the 5+1 and the vintage style front strap mount just looks right. Who has one? I’ve been reading and seeing videos of the 870’s built after 2007 are more prone to rust on the outside finish. Anyone experienced this? Show yours if you have one!

Looked at the same model/version yesterday. When these first came out I didn't care for the furniture on the Remington and even though I'm a life long 870 owner/shooter the Shockwave also held more ammo. Remington took care of the capacity difference and this old school wood furniture is perfect in my opinion though the pistol grip is a lot slicker than the polymer.

It looks absolutely beautiful. I hope that Mossberg will offer wood furniture on the Shockwave as well, because I prefer the ambidextrous safety and extra round in the tube of the Shockwave to the TAC-14.

I did want the wood model but ended up getting the arm brace model , its been flawless , I lubed it up with CLP fired all types ammo ,most of it low brass and Fed Tac buck shot , the gun stays in a scabbard on my ATV , no rust on it yet.

The TAC-14 Hardwood bumps capacity to 5+1 for a total of 6 rounds, which I believe is the same as the Shockwave. So this is a plus.
