I had nearly forgotten that I had one, but somewhere I have a Remington-UMC carving set, as in something you would use to carve a Thanksgiving turkey. I will try to locate it this week and post a picture. It is in a dark brown Art Deco-style Bakelite box with a separate lid which contains a fairly long blade carving knife, maybe 10” or so, a fork, and a sharpening steel. All three implements have staghorn handles. I don’t remember if they are actual staghorn or plastic that looks like staghorn, but I think real. Looks like something from the 1920s-30s. Has anyone ever seen a similar set and if so, are they worth anything? I believe I bought it at an estate sale at least 40 years ago.

While I do not own the set you are talking about I have indeed seen at least one. I can't remember where or when because it was a long long time ago when I was not interested in carving sets.

As far as their value goes, there are few on eBay with the original box for under $100. They look pretty neat but as to how good they are I have no idea since I've never used one.
