I have a box or 2 of holsters. But I am looking for an OWB holster that is fairly quick to remove and replace as needed. go to the gym most days and there are other locations that can make it necessary for removal as well.Anyone have a manufacturer or model of holster that they would recommend.

I just purchased a Frontline holster that has one snap you unfasten and it slips over the belt. I found mine on Amazon. They are made in Israeli. They have a website.

I like paddleback holsters for times when i think I will have to take it off without undressing. I bought, through Amazon, a couple of holsters from MASC. Good leather. The only downside, at least to me, is that there is no tension adjustment. But I haven't used either enough for them to loosen. I have one for my Shield and one for my SCCY. Both work well. HTH

Several makers make OWB holsters with snap loops. Here's one example from TT Gunleather (they make excellent gear, btw)...

I don't carry OWB, but I would prefer something like this to a paddle holster since it holds the gun closer to the body for better concealment.

FYI, they also make a snap loop OWB mag pouch, which I use to carry my spare mag.

Another thought - it's not too hard to get used to having your belt the other direction. Whichever way puts your holster on the non-buckle side makes it fairly quick on/off.

That would would work. But it seems like it would take a bit to remove your belt from a few loops and put it back quickly whole sitting in a cramped vehicle.

How are those quick on/off?

Thanks. I have number of OWB holsters mass produced and custom. But am looking for something that is OWB I can get on and off my belt quickly as I wrote about in my first post. And was looking for peoples personal experience with such gear.

What kind of handgun? The Brauer I posted above is excellent for removal. The paddle is, at the bottom, a thick leather tab that holds the holster inside your pants. Easy to remove, just push the tab.

I've worn a paddle holster, both revolver and semi auto most of the last 30years or so. A quality one is just as secure as a 'belt' holster and still provides easy on and off capabilities. I own a Bauer as picture above, a Don Hume, and a couple of kydex. Never have had a problem with any of them. Wore my Done Hume during a week long class at Gunsite this past spring with nary a hiccup.

I initially went with a paddle holster but found out that they tend to stick out a little further which hampers good concealment. Yes I know we can have the discussion all day about what is the definition of "concealment" but I like to have my firearm out of sight and out of other people's minds.

My go to OWB concealment holsters now are made by R. Grizzle Leather and snap on and off the belt. The model that I use for my Glock 43 and for my Sig 365 is the Georgia Snap 2.

Pulls the handgun in really tight and snug and conceals really well. The snaps can be a little stiff but that is what keeps the gun pulled in and both of these rigs have been top quality. I also have magazine holders of the same style for both.

I do own a couple of similar holsters from Lobo Gun Leather and am pleased with them as well. One is for a J Frame and one is for my Shield. They tend to go on and off a little easier but they also ride a little different and not as snug.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your decision.

Thanks. I always like Lobo's holsters. I will look into R. Grizzle Leather. I have a 386 PD I would
like to carry more along with a couple others.

Next Holster in Garner NC, makes their Guardian holster.

It's bisexual as the clips can be moved from the front (for IWB carry to the back (for OWB carry).
