Removal Of 52-2 Rear Sight

Greetings,

Remove the small set screw next to the elevation screw. Next, tap the sight out in the direction of the windage screw. Be careful, there are some spring loaded parts that the rear sight captures.

Cheers,

Dave

I came across your posts and it made me think about removing the rear sight on my 52 -- it's getting about time for me to "make the switch" to optical sights. Please forgive the imposition, but if you're putting a red dot sight or scope on your 52, would you be kind enough to share the details?

Also, I bought my pistol new in the early 1990's. It's a wonderful piece of workmanship -- the only complaint I have is that it will throw the 1st shot away from the rest of the group. Have you experienced similar issues?

Thank you
