Remove clear coat from 637

I picked up used Airweight 637 in very good mechanical condition however, cosmetically the clear coat is pretty rough. I was thinking it would look better if I removed the clear coat ….any opinions if I should remove, if yes what would be the best way to do that?

Leave the clear coat on. It helps to protect the bare metal from corroding.
