Removing extractor rod on 1937 Brazilian

It's been decades, but IIRC, the mushroom is part of the rod. The threads on the rod will be right hand threads. Don't forget to have cases-fired are better-in at least 2 chambers to take the strain of your effort to remove the rod.

The cylinder is removed from the yoke. The center pin is removed from the extractor rod but the extractor rod does not want to come out of the yoke. How do I remove mushroom head extractor rod from the yoke?

OK, soak it in (and I mean pour the liquid into a container and let the parts have a bath) kerosene, diesel fuel or CB Parts Blaster for a week or so and then try to gently remove it. Probably rusted in place.

After the soak, gentle tapping*, while supporting the yoke to prevent damage and/or carefully trying to rotate the rod. If you know someone with an ultrasonic parts cleaner, that might work too. If it's still resisting, soak for another week.

*Tap the mushroom end, NOT the smaller, threaded end!

See post #2, the mushroom is part of the rod to the best of my knowledge & recollection, it doesn't come off. The extractor rod has to come off in that direction. The extractor rod hole in the yoke is a straight through hole.
