I apologize if there has been a thread about this before. I tried searching but found nothing.

I have an M&P 15 Sport and am trying to install a PWS fsc556 muzzle brake. The stock one is on there GOOD! I have not been extremely rough with it yet nor do I have an armorers tool so I may just not be giving it enough leverage because I don't want to mess anything up. I also read about how sometimes they are reverse threaded? Meaning rightly loosey lefty tighty?

Has anyone taken off the stock brake before and is there any trick to it?

Thanks

use a very heavy leather strap and clamp the barrel into a vise using the leather strap. then just unscrew the flash suppressor going righty tighty method. getting the flash suppressor to break loose is the trick but that is how I did it.

Newbie here~ Are Kalifornia Sport muzzle brakes pinned & welded on? If so, can they be removed? I want to install a rail and remove the A2 front sight. Thanks!
Sorry if this has been rehashed...

I bought my Sport in NY state and it has a plain barrel, no flash hider or muzzle brake.

From good ol' Caly.
1) Always find out what's, what in your state.
2) In CA I can change and have changed my muzzle device to a FSC 5.56.
One of the big issues is the bullet button and whether a person is using a pistol grip or not.
Go to calguns.net there you can get some good input.
Above all please obey the laws so LE knows we gun owners are responsible and are concerned about doing things right.
