Removing The "Lock"?

Hi:
How is complete "LocK" removed?
Having a problem figuring how the outside key lock and inside flag and spring is removed.

That movie is great if you only want to remove the locking arm. (I wonder where he got the idea? )

I'm not sure whether you are inquiring about merely disassembling the lock or whether you wish to delete the lock.

As to the former, there is a thread on THR.us where a guy does everything in the book - and then some - to a Model 10, including disassembling the lock.

I did this last week

to a 642. With a small pick, I released the tiny spring on the pitch fork looking thing to release the pressure it had on the lock. I moved the fork in a bit to release all of the pressure on the internal lock piece and pushed the lock in from the outside. It was in tight but not too bad, as it popped out with just a little persuasion.
