I plan to do a trigger job on my 686 and need to remove the lock. I haven't done it in so long I can't remember how. It's not immediately obvious to me.

How should removal be done?

Thanks

If your skilled in the detail strip of the 686 revolver in general sir, disassemble the gun and look at the lock system and it should be pretty easy... if you putting a "plug" in to replace the lock, be sure to remove all guts involving the lock.... flag n all

I got rid of the two revolvers that had the lock, because I did not like them, and did not feel that they were needed. However, I would have serious reservations about removing any safety device that the gun had. If you ever used it for protection and were sued, you may regret doing it.

Once again, the IL is not a SAFETY it is a exclusion device.

Will you be sued if padlock that comes with a gun is thrown away??
