Would someone please advise on where you folks buy the Renaissance wax that is spoken about? Is there only one formulation of the product?

There is another wax like Renwax, and it has been mentioned here before, but I cannot for the life of me remember it, but someone will. I do remember it is just as salty in price, so buy the Renwax, because there is no savings to be had on that product

I use the Wheaton wax and I see no difference, they apply the same and smell the same.

Midway USA. If your guns are not worth spending $29 on use Johnsons floor wax for $5 a tub. Ren wax is the better of the two by far .From an actual user of both.

Mom and pop shops often have it on the shelf. Mom and pop are usually more patriotic and supportive of the American way.

Hence, Amazon is Never NEVER my first, second, or third, or . . . choice.

I have the Ren wax, the EJ Wheaton and the Johnson's. The Wheaton is a little better than the Johnson's. The Ren wax is a little better than the Wheaton. Prices seem to reflect that. JMHO.

No matter which wax you choose, it will adhere to the surface better if you degrease first. This is the product I use. I'm sure there are many others.

I like the EJ Wheaton product. I use some of their other products, so ordering direct is simple. Besides it is American made.

I picked up Ren Wax at our local Woodcrafters store. Maybe paid a few bucks more than on-line but no shipping and I was able to take it home so checked my instant gratification box.

I could be wrong but I believe that I have seen it at Home Depot also.

You will get the same results at a much better price by simply using Johnson paste wax. JPW + $$$ = Renwax.
